All eyes will be on the upcoming US jobs report, CPI inflation data and the Fed's important interest rate decision.Wall Street's three major indices - the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite - ended the month with losses as new uncertainty around the Fed's tariff plans seriously spooked investors.Investors are gearing up for a fresh stock market crash - this annual sell-off is commonly referred to as the "September hurricane".Think back to last year: The Dow fell nearly 9% in September as investors fretted about the Fed's aggressive rate hike plans to fight rising inflation. A year has passed, but the arguments for market panic have not changed.Today we are waiting for NFP: to cancel the next rate hike, the number of new jobs must be above 150K, but not above 200K, and PCE inflation must either be below Powell's announced figures (3.3% overall, 4.3% core), but at least, not higher. Unemployment is expected to remain stable at 3.5%, and this level is still critical for the Fed.Next breakpoint: US CPI release on September 13th. Last summer, the CPI reached a 40-year high of 9.1% and is on a steady downward trend, but now prices are still rising much faster than the 2% rate that the Fed considers "healthy".Wednesday, September 20: The Fed has been raising rates for 11 of its last 12 meetings, but is now ready to pause and keep rates in the 5.25%-5.50% range.
