The situation is typical for the active sale of food and groceries, as well as an increase in the number of more affluent consumers. Shoppers prefer the company's stores amid the current economic environment of persistently high inflation and fears of a recession.Walmart shares should be bought now with the first target in the $175-178 zone, and after the correction, continue moving towards the $200-210 zone. Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) : saleTarget shares have been stuck in a major downtrend since the start of February and are well behind (-12%) the broader market since the start of the year.Most likely, the upcoming report will show a sharp slowdown in sales growth due to the negative impact of various factors. Specifically, the retailer is losing revenue due to continued backlash from customers over its controversial policies on social issues such as the race and gender of shoppers.Target's consensus forecast is for earnings of $1.43 per share, up $0.39 from last year, but the odds are slim.
